The Essential Spring Layering Guide

Unpredictable weather can be challenging when it comes to deciding on what to wear. When it comes to layering, the whole purpose is that the pieces can each work on their own and of course it's all about wearing your favourite new season staples at once.

The easiest way to dress for the this transitional weather is to wear light fabrics which makes it easy to layer. So we've put together four different looks to get you feeling and looking your best no matter what the weather.

Velvet Outfit, Mackage Jacket.

For this look we've landed the perfect outfit between casual and dressy. This matching set offers amazing stretch for the comfort you want. We've elevated the simple outfit with heels and gave the look some structure with a trench as your layering piece. Voilà! Your outfit is complete.

Outfit 1:

Trench Coat > Mackage

Top / Skirt > Velvet

Purse > Mackage

Ag Jeans (Jacket), Hudson Jeans, Rebecca Minkoff top

A light jean jacket is a necessity this time of year. Plus it’s such a classic style you'll continue to wear over the years. So we've paired one of our favourite coloured light pink jeans with a floral top to add a feminine touch to the look.

Outfit 2:

Top > Rebecca Minkoff

Jeans > Hudson Jeans

Jean Jacket > AG Jeans

What better way to add style and warmth to your outfit than with a cardigan? It's the easiest most chic layering piece. Choosing a neutral layering piece keeps the look casual but makes everything look pulled together. Here we paired a light blue button down with striped jeans and added a cardigan to complete the look.

Outfit 3:

Shirt > Velvet

Jeans > Paige

Cardigan > Michael Stars

Smythe Blazer, Zagid cami, Citizen jeans, Sam Edelman Shoes, Package clutch

If you're going for a more neutral look we've got you covered. To dress up a blazer its always best to go with ankle strap heels. It will have you feeling feminine and powerful. We paired our favourite boyfriend jeans with a loose cami. To complete the look we've added a neutral blazer and how can you forget to accessorize? So we've added a silver clutch with gold detailing to really style the look from head-to-toe.

Outfit 4:

Blazer > Smythe

Shirt > Zadig & Voltaire

Jeans > Citizens of Humanity

Clutch > Mackage

Shoes > Sam Edelman
